Wind-chill or windchill, (popularly wind chill factor) is the perceived decrease in air temperature felt by the body on exposed skin due to the flow of air.
To most people -22degrees C is already very cold. the wind chill brings it even further down to chilly -32degrees C. This takes a few seconds to sink in on your mind if you are some place warm, but takes only a split second if you walk the cold streets of Montreal in Dezember. The pinching pain gets through several layers of cloth right trough to your bones like a hot knife through butter. In theses moments it seems to help to think that we might be on some tropical beach in about 3 weeks. 😉
